Who do you blog for?

I was looking at the blog of someone I used to talk to online, Heather, we both "met" when we were ttc our first child. I do not talk to those ladies much anymore... seems like the more kids we had the less we talk... but once and awhile we converge back on our "group" and hear news about a new baby or job or other piece of info.

1. Do you blog to make friends with people you will eventually meet in real life? Hmmm... I don't blog with the purpose that I become friends with a stranger and meet them eventually - though I would not be against that if I clicked with someone. Though part of the reason I blog is for those I have met online through other sites.. and these are people I have met or hope to meet IRL.

2. Do you blog for the sake of the B? Do you blog for yourself as a sanity-seeking form of online diary that is really neat cause it can link to all kinds of other things on the fancy Interweb? Sometimes I blog just to blog.. sometimes I blog to copy others.. and sometimes I blog as a diary of my thoughts.

3. Do you blog to discover people with whom you share a number of opinions about a topic? Yea... I love Slice of life blogs... and I hope to show you my slices.. and in turn find other people's slices.

4. Do you blog to attract readers? And, do you have an expectation of what sort of readers you have? Would you still blog if nobody read your blog? Yes and No. I would probably still blog if no one read it.. but there are days when I feel I have to because I have not blogged in awhile and I do know people read it. I just hope my readers aren't weird axe murders ;-)

5. Do you blog to distinguish yourself .. because you think blogging is cool and you think it makes you cool(er)? I do not do things to be cool. I may give in to the latest fad.. but I do things because I want to and because they make me happy. If you think I am cool... well.. then that's cool!
