As of yesterday, my husband Nick is a Knight! Well a Knight of Columbus.
Yesterday he went to training for the first, second and third degree all in one day. I guess he can get the final degree, fourth in 6 months or a year. I have to say I am proud of him in a way, since he is not big into groups and such. And this is a big group - over 200 at our church!!
Now, I guess there are all these secrets that he cannot share. He could tell me some things. One thing is that, no, he does not get a "funny hat" yet.. I guess they get that when they are fourth degree. Contrary to what one kid of a new knight said, it was not "pancake school". And at the training they did have beer - well one small glass.
Though I was kind of bummed that he went and came back and was a Knight, that there was not a special ceremony at church or anything.
At least he is happy.

That is interesting Melissa. I think the secrecy would drive me nuts but I guess there's not much you can do about it. I'd be bummed that there wasn't a special ceremony too :( Thanks for asking about the hat LOL :)
