Today I am thankful for.... a perfect check up!

Today I am thankful for a perfect checkup for my kids!!! This afternoon we took the children to their well visits. All the kids had no problems. In fact the Doctor kept asking if we had anything else to talk about. Here were their stats:
Weight Height
Carter 22.6lbs (50%) 30in (60%)
Samantha 35lbs (20%) 41in (25%)
Jeffrey 45.5 lbs 45in

I suck it up..

I have a minor medical issue... something I get often enough... yet it is one of those things if it doesn't go away in a day or so I need a prescription which usually means running to the Doctor. I have had this since Friday.
And I suck it up...
I suck it up... because I always think I can beat this myself.
I suck it up... because Nick thinks that my family runs to the Dr. too much.
I suck it up... because gas costs around $3.50 and it can be almost a 1/4 a tank to drive to the Dr.
I suck it up... because I have to take one to three kids with to the Dr.
I suck it up... because health insurance is for the healthy and it will still cost me to go to the Dr.
I suck it up... because I feel so icky I just want to stay home and hide.

So I sucked it up long enough today and called the Dr. and after having to wait all day I got one piece of good news about 10 minutes ago... they can just call my prescription in.
Guess no more sucking it up!!!

Baby's first picture

Yesterday I went to my second dr. appt for this baby. This was the first one with my ob/gyn (I trade off between him and my nurse practicioner). Nick couldn't come with, but the kids did. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. And then the dr. said he wanted an ultrasound to pin down my due date. Well I don't know a woman that would turn down an ultrasound! And as a bonus, the kids were going to see their new baby brother or sister. Unfortunately Nick wasn't, but I showed him the pictures last night.
So with out further ado, here is #3:


And what was cool was the dr was so nice, he gave each of the kids their own picture of their baby sibling. Oh.. and the edd is November 10th now.. just a day off from what the NP said at the last appointment.
Of course not to be outdone... here is me and the other kids today at Jeffrey's preschool for special person day:
